VIDEO PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
The Video Production Coordinator will lead the company’s local video content production efforts. This will encompass all aspects of local content development- sourcing, production and airing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- other duties may be assigned:
- Tape, edit and air local events;
- Produce original content for local viewing;
- Recommend and order video production equipment;
- Work closely with Marketing and Public Relations Manager on identifying which events and content will be produced for airing;
- Develop advertising opportunities for insertion in programming;
- Work directly with local contact person in each community for local programming on community channel;
- Train others on equipment, as needed;
- Ensure all releases and clearances have been obtained for content to be aired.
Position and advancement within the wage range established for this position are dependent upon performance and the scope of the duties and responsibilities assigned.
Personnel Specifications
Education/Experience
Related college degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 3 years directly related experience. This is not an entry level position.
Job Knowledge
Knowledgeable in all aspects of video production. Must have experience with video production equipment and related editing software.
Related Skills
Must have strong customer service skills, an ability to work independently and be a team player. Must be detail oriented, have an aptitude for creativity and a commitment to continuous and on-going review and improvement. Will work directly with the public. Must recognize that one of the most important performance areas in which the company functions is that of customer relations; to insure continued growth and success of the company, the best possible courteous and friendly relationship with the customer must be maintained.
Additional Requirements
This position will have an irregular work schedule that will be based on the schedule of events to be produced for airing. It is a full time position but the work schedule will vary based on need. Extensive travel in the service area will be required. This position may also require occasional overtime.
Position Relationships
This position reports to the Marketing and Public Relations Manager.
Internal/External
Maintains close working relationship with all staff, especially the Business Development Manager, Network Supervisor and the Network group.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Related degree;
- 3 or more years of video production experience;
- Valid Driver's License;
- Experience in video content development;
- Experience in advertising development;
- Customer service oriented;
- Routine short and long term planning;
- Professional appearance and manner;
- Ability to work and communicate well with others;
- Able to work with little supervision.
